The Friends of the Park & Prairie meet year-round to tend our gardens and prairies; learn about plants, gardening, etc,; tour local gardens; and share ideas for improving our green areas.
Recent Accomplishments

Created the Neighborhood Oasis (a gathering place in formerly empty area of the park)

Planted beautiful bulbs and native perennials around the Oasis

Developed a small prairie in an area that had been filled with invasive weeds

Helped neighbors to create decorative paving stones
Goals:

Add a pergola to the Oasis for sun protection

Expand the bulb garden around the Oasis

Expand the prairie

Create pathways featuring the decorative pavers
